Michael Butler is chairman of Orlando-based Midlan International, which for 30 years has been a leading consulting and management firm in the resort real estate industry. Midlan specializes in Sales and Marketing in "turn around" and "start up" situations. Midlan has worked on over 200 projects serving banks, financial institutions and developers in the USA, Caribbean and Europe. Most recently Midlan managed a property for the Lehman Bros Trustee, arranged the purchase of an Orlando Resort by Club La Costa, and is currently working with leading hospitality groups to acquire more projects. Fractional projects include the Prospector Lodge in Aspen for Security Pacific Bank, the $100 million Siesta Castle (now Hyatt Private Residence Club) property in Sarasota for Triton Group, and the Colleoli Di Borgo in Tuscany. Midlan has also created fractional programs for Luxury Crewed Yachts and for Luxury Recreational Vehicles.
Prior to founding Midlan, Michael was a senior executive with CBS Corporate in NYC, CBS Records in London and Time Inc in NYC. Michael has an MBA from Columbia School of Business, BA Hons from Sussex University, and served as an air electronics officer in the RAF.
