Kathy is a veteran public relations and marketing communications executive with more than 25 years experience in the travel and tourism industry.  Her Orlando, Fla. based firm, Kathy Hernandez & Associates, specializes in media relations and full-service strategic communications for hotels, destinations, vacation ownership resorts, and those in various segments of resort real estate and the hospitality industry.  

Fluent in Spanish, she has overseen bilingual, multicultural public relations programs for properties and destinations in the U.S., Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean throughout her career. She holds a B.A. degree in journalism from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA and is a member of the American Resort Development Association (ARDA), The Society of American Travel Writers (SATW) the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and the Women's Executive Council of Orlando (WEC).
