Joshua is the co-founder and president of CalCon Mutual Mortgage Corporation.  He started his career after graduating from the University of Connecticut School of Business with a degree in Finance, then relocated to California to work at a large national mortgage banking institution in San Diego.  Joshua personally originated nearly $500m in loans in the first few years, with a concentration around preferred lending for large residential developments, as well as commercial and construction loans.  In 1996, with co-Founder and brother, Shane Erskine, Joshua started The Erskine Group.  After a successful start, Joshua began targeting national opportunities within the full service mortgage banking sector and opened CalCon, which is now licensed in approximately 20 states nationwide with a physical location in nine states, and main offices in San Diego, CA and New York, NY.  Joshua concentrates on the development of the origination and servicing platform for CalCon in commercial, residential conforming and non-conforming loans, as well as high-end multi-million dollar residential, condo-hotel, and residential construction. Joshua has been responsible for structuring many of the seller financing platforms that were used nationally in order to close units in developments where there was a significant void in the market such as Trump Soho, Palms Place Las Vegas, Trump Waikiki, Panorama Las Vegas, as well as many others.
